Perth, Sydney, & Melbourne L&D Network Sessions – What is Online/Mobile learning and how can you use it?

What is online and mobile learning

Sam Russell

By: Sam Russell – February 2016

Following the huge success (indeed, the biggest session we’ve ever hosted) of our recent Brisbane session What’s this mobile learning stuff all about and who’s using it to do what?’ we have had a large number of requests to deliver the session for our members in other parts of Australia.

We’re therefore VERY excited to announce that the presenter, Dawid Falck, of BabbleWire Learning Group, has agreed to present the session in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne over the coming two months (see below for details and to register).

For anyone whose job involves developing workforce capabilities, this session really is a ‘must see’ as it provides key insights into the latest technical advances in the learning space, the ways that technology can significantly assist in achieving learning goals, and how technical solutions can significantly reduce L&D costs.

Also, BabbleWire have announced that they’re currently looking for beta test sites for their new app based mobile learning platform and have asked if they can select them from our members. This is an amazing opportunity to check out the very latest in learning solutions first hand (not to mention the fact that all the selected testers will be provided with a Smart Watch in order to properly access the learning!).

Please be aware that places are limited so, if you’re keen to attend, be sure to register soon!

Hope to see you there.

Session information:

Online learning (and more recently, mobile learning) has been promising a revolution in capability development for some years now and is playing an increasing part in learning and development programs. But what EXACTLY is online/mobile learning?

It’s somewhat surprising to find that there is more than one opinion on what constitutes online learning and, perhaps more importantly, how we can use it to improve our learning outcomes whilst reducing costs.

Dawid Falck, Managing Director of the multi-award-winning online (and now mobile) learning programs company, BabbleWire Learning Group, will be presenting at the upcoming L&D Network morning teas in Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne (see times and dates below).

BabbleWire provides core services to many of Australia’s largest multinational corporates and over 60,000 people have been inducted and or trained using their online platforms.

In addition to his in-depth knowledge of (and experience in) online and mobile learning, Dawid promises a highly engaging session that will include:

  • What constitutes true online learning
  • An overview of what makes good elearning
  • How to implement interactive learning solutions without needing to completely redevelop everything
  • Emerging trends and new blended solutions

We look forward to a practical session that should give us all something to take away and implement immediately.
